Kevin Dresser is a collegiate wrestling coach. Our podcast interview walks through his upward climb toward wrestling and coaching greatness. Currently a wrestling coach at Iowa State University, Kevin Dresser served as a wrestling coach at Virginia Tech and coached under Dan Gable at the University of Iowa for several years after graduation.

Kevin matriculated through the University of Iowa where he earned titles like, “NCAA National Champion” and “Big Ten Champion.” Crediting leadership for his rise to wrestling greatness, Dresser was led under the coaching legend, Dan Gable.

In his own personal coaching career, Dresser majorly moved the needle for Virginia Tech. After finishing last in Division 1 Wrestling in Dresser’s first two years, the Virginia Tech program turned around. to end with a 160-51 record. Under his guidance, Virginia Tech won two ACC Conference Championships and two ACC Dual Championships. Kevin Dresser was also named the 2016 NWCA College Wrestling Coach of the Year.
